Remembrance mr astley and student

St. Peter’s will be paying tribute and remembering all of our armed forces, past and present over the coming few days. I was touched today when a Year 8 student, Eloise O’Hara presented me with both a ceramic and material poppy. This was because I saw Eloise wearing the material poppy earlier in the week and complimented her on it. I have made a contribution to the British Legion, as a result.  Poppies have also been on sale for students all week and it has been humbling seeing students wearing them.

On Sunday, I will be joined by staff and students of St. Peter’s at a Remembrance Day Service and Parade at the Centotaph, commencing at 1045. Students will be attending the service and lay a wreath on behalf of St. Peter’s. We have been invited by the City of Stoke-on-Trent Lord Mayor and are very proud to represent St. Peter’s and everyone in our local community.

On Monday 11/11/19, there will be a whole school Remembrance Assembly taking place that will end at 1100 with a minute’s silence.

Lest we forget
