Science
Virtually all aspects of your life concern science and technology: your mobile, computers, satellite TV and navigation and medicine, to name just a few. Your generation is likely to experience changes in your lifetime beyond all imagination, and we all need to be able to make informed chioces, as the decisions we make in our lives may have major implications for the future, maybe even that of planet Earth itself.
Science provides a knowledge and understanding of the natural world, the skills of experimentation and investigation, and an appreciation of the importance of science to individuals and society.
Science helps to develop such personal attributes as curiosity, teamwork, motivation and the ability to communicate. These are paticularly important skills and values and will help to prepare you for further study and a range of careers.
In Science we study a broad range of topics across Biology, Chemistry and Physics. This provides our students with an understanding of science to access topics and the world around them.
Please see the menu to the right for information about the topics students are learning in Science.
