Bookmark Workshop - September 2024
Students from all year groups were invited to participate in a creative Bookmark Workshop, where they had the chance to design their own personalised bookmarks while connecting with fellow book enthusiasts. The workshop provided a variety of materials, including clear acrylic bookmarks, vibrant stickers, paints, and decorative tassels, allowing students to express their creativity.

World Mental Health Day 2024
To mark World Mental Health Day, we hosted an after-school event focused on mental wellbeing, where students came together to engage in fun activities and meaningful discussions. Using resources from Young Minds, students had the opportunity to express themselves through creative activities, such as the “Doodle What Makes You Happy” template, and contribute to the “How Do You Take Care of Your Mental Health” bunting. The event encouraged open conversation, creative expression, and an important reminder to prioritise mental health.

Christmas Story
The event aimed to spark the Christmas spirit in the library while fostering creativity and collaboration amongst students. Participants, divided into small groups, rotated through three activity stations every 10 minutes. The first station involved collaborative story writing, where each group continued a shared Christmas tale, enhancing their creative writing and teamwork skills, with contributions even from an EAL student. At the second station, students designed a book cover that reflected the story, encouraging artistic expression. The third station focused on making Christmas decorations, offering a creative outlet for those less interested in writing. The event was promoted through posters and digital slides, with students signing up in advance, resulting in an inclusive and festive experience.
