BackYear 11 Football
Posted on: 11th Oct 2022The Year 11 Football Team were amazing today when they secured a point against a strong Biddulph High School team earlier today.
St Peter's were quick out the blocks with a well worked goal by Charlie Bradbury, coming in on the left, into the box and slotting it home to make it 1.0 to the home side. Biddulph then started to get into the game with some impressive passing but couldn't break down the home defence.
St Peter's showed great resilience and endurance and defended well throughout the game whilst also creating chances which tested the Biddulph keeper.
The score remained at 1.0 until 10 minutes to go when a Biddulph forward found space outside the box and hit a hard shot, just out of the reach of Ethan Wheeldon to make it 1.1.
The rest of the game was a 'cagey' affair with both sides having chances and Biddulph piling on the pressure but it finished 1.1.
Well done to the whole team who were outstanding! Man of the match goes to Charlie Bradbury, who despite his injury, never stopped running, showed amazing skill for the goal and could have had a couple more! Well done!
