The Year 10 football team were outstanding this evening, beating Birches Head Academy 8.0. 

St Peter’s started the game brightly and it wasn’t long before they opened the scoring with a slick move that saw Harvey Pickering calmly slotting it past the Birches Head keeper. 

The game then became scrappy for a period with both sides not giving much away. St Peter’s showed great patience however as 2 more goals from Harvey Pickering and 1 from Abdulhakim Radwan saw the home side 4 nil up at the break. 

Birches head came out in the second half with a bit more confidence however St Peter’s soon got a hold of the half with a further 3 goals from Harvey Pickering sealing his double hatrick and a goal for Amir Waseem to seal the emphatic win. 

Well done to the whole team who worked their socks off however with his 6 goals, Harvey Pickering takes the Player of the Match Award.
