I would just like to say a huge well done to the year 8 girls sports hall athletics team, today they took part in the sports hall athletics county finals in which they qualified for back in November.

Today they competed against 10 other schools from all over the county, they all performed extremely well and represented St Peter’s Academy in an excellent manor.

The final results were in and after some very close scores, the girls just missed out on a place to come away with a medal and a superb effort to finish in 4th place.

Team was: Kady-Leigh Day, Lilieta Ratacaucau, Kaddijatou Kassama, Celia Bates and Lexie Simpson.

Special mention for Lexie Simpson who stepped in to help the team out at very short notice, Lexie was excellent in every event she entered and did herself and her team mates proud.
