I always look forward to the first day back after a break (especially after the abysmal Staffordshire weather!) and it was made even better today we welcomed new members of staff to the Academy.

Lorna McNee and Emma Shufflebotham have joined the SEN team and have already hit the ground running. We also have two new PGCE students in, Miss Viggars (Science) and Mr Asif (English). I remember a time when St. Peter’s were not allowed to have trainee teachers, now we are being encouraged to take more after feedback from previous students, which is testament to the journey we are on.

Watch this space for details of the 40 Day Lent Challenge later this week. The Student Christian Distinctiveness Group have helped devise it with Mrs Rubin and I encourage you to do as many of them as you can, I know I will.
